Beautiful matching pair of two (2) vintage porcelain collector plates from the acclaimed "Les Femmes du Siècle" (Women of the Century) series by Henri D'Arceau & Fils in Limoges, France. Illustrated by Parisian artist François Ganeau, this historic collection was patronized by the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne to celebrate 100 years of iconic French fashion. Both plates are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. They come complete with their original custom-fitted molded styrofoam shipping boxes, protective outer branded sleeves, and paper backing inserts. Included Plates: 1. "Scarlet en Crinoline – La Femme Inaccessible 1865" (First Edition) - Registration Number: AJ 150 (Stamped in red) - Features the United Nations heritage logo variant. 2. "Sarah en Tournure – La Femme Tentation 1875" (Second Edition) - Registration Number: BG 370 (Stamped in red) Both pieces feature detailed backstamps entirely in French, documenting the individual registration numbers, 1977 firing dates, and historical fashion summaries of the eras depicted. Conditio: pristine, mint vintage condition with absolute no chips, cracks, or crazing. The original custom molded styrofoam inserts are fully intact. The outer cardboard sleeves show some minor cosmetic flaws and shelf wear from age, but remain structurally solid and protect the porcelain perfectly.
