Rare 1-2 AD Elymais Kamnakires V or VI ancient coin

#2010-259 in MCB. Obverse, lovely portrait bust facing left with headress behind and script at left. Reverse is unclear but appears to also be a bust facing left. The Elymaeans were reputed to be skilled archers, although the autonomous monarchy was frequently under Parthian control. In 187 BC, they killed Antiochus III the Great after he had pillaged their temple of Bel. Nothing is known of their language, even though Elamite was still used by the Achaemenid Empire 250 years before the kingdom of Elymais came into existence. A number of Aramaic inscriptions are found in Elymais. To see all my coins and banknotes, search zzz.
