It can be applied as a dry powder or mixed with water for a spray. Dry Application: Sprinkle DE powder directly onto the soil around plants, creating a barrier to deter pests. Dust the leaves of plants, especially the undersides, to target insects like spider mites and aphids. Wet Application: Mix DE with water to form a slurry or paste and apply it to plants with a brush or spray bottle. Allow it to dry, creating a coating that insects will encounter. Soil Incorporation: Mix DE into the soil to improve soil structure and deter soil-borne pests. Pest-Specific Application: Dusting leaves can be effective for spider mites and other crawling insects. Sprinkling around the base of plants can deter slugs and snails.
