It's a nice modern gray color and would be perfect for a desk or nightstand Touch on and off feature- touch anywhere to turn on or off. Also the lamp shade/bulb turns 90 degrees to point light upwards or to the side, has a slender neck that can extend to where you need it. I love this lamp and wish all lamps worked like this!! Discounted because of used condition with some scratches, very hard to see in photos because hard to see! lol
