Stanley No. 78 Rabbet Plane - Made in USA

This is a vintage Stanley No. 78 rabbet plane with a maroon body, indicating it was likely made between 1945 and 1970s in the USA (as opposed to the lesser and later Made in England models. It's a classic woodworking tool for creating rabbets and grooves. Body is in great shape and so is the blade. 10" long overall, but underside is about 8 1/4"
