Antique Oak Desk/Library Table (19th-20th Century)

This is an antique oak desk or library table, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. It features a Neogothic or Trestle style. Construction is solid oak with a thick, overhanging top. The design includes a central drawer with decorative carvings and a sturdy trestle-style base with a horizontal footrest. The repetitive, arched carving on the crossbar is characteristic of Gothic Revival or rustic European styles. Similar pieces are often referred to as "Bureau Lyre" or Gothic revival writing tables. Ready for refinishing. Just too big for my space. Make an offer!
