Pair of Vintage 1950s Mid-Century Modern Walnut Armchairs

Beautiful matched pair of vintage American mid-century modern armchairs, dating approximately to the late 1950s or early 1960s. The chairs feature sculptural walnut frames, curved wraparound arms, tapered legs with original brass-capped feet, upholstered floating backrests, and removable seat cushions. The design closely resembles period lounge chairs produced by Jamestown Royal and Stow & Davis. No manufacturer’s label has been located, so they are being sold as maker unknown. The small numbered brass plates appear to be vintage inventory tags. Both chairs are solid and display beautifully. They retain their older pale blush-beige textured upholstery. There is age-related wear to the wood finish, along with some upholstery discoloration, spotting, and cushion compression. Please review the photographs carefully. An excellent pair to use as-is or professionally restore with new upholstery. $600 Sold only as a pair. Local pickup in the Chicago/ Old Irving Park. Dimensions available upon request.
