Vintage Black Americana Mammy Coin Bank

This is a rare primitive folk art Black Americana piece of American history dating back to the early to mid-1930s to 1950. In nice condition, usually you find these in horrible shape. I did find a few similar ones on other websites going upwards of $250 to $400. This historical collectible is a hand-painted, heavy cast iron coin bank molded in the form of a “Mammy figure." She is standing with her feet apart and her hands on her hips, wearing a red dress with a white shawl collar, white waist apron, and black shoes. A red kerchief with yellow polka dots covers her head. She has brown eyes and a smiling, pink mouth. A rectangular hole for inserting coins is located at the center of the figure's back. The cast iron bank looks completely original and unrestored. It is roughly 7 3/4 inches tall and does not show any signs of being a reproduction. The majority of the paint is still intact and the colors are bold. The screw appears to be original, and overall, this is an attractive piece of Americana.
