Mechanic's Special. • Condition: Clean body and interior, but currently not running. Requires towing from the shop. Mechanical Requirements (Engine): • Timing Chain Set: Needs replacement (timing chain, guides, and tensioner have jumped/worn out). • Top End: Cylinders/valves are intact; no known valve-to-piston damage. • Electrical/Ignition: Requires a new battery and one ignition coil (Cylinder 1). • Gaskets/Seals: Front crankshaft seal and timing cover reseal required during reassembly. Chassis & Safety Requirements (Suspension/Brakes): • Front Suspension: Left and right lower control arms (complete with ball joints) and outer tie rods need replacement. • Stabilizer Links: Front and rear stabilizer links are worn and need replacing. • Brakes: Complete front and rear brake overhaul needed (pads, rotors, and caliper servicing). • Alignment: Will require a 4-wheel alignment once suspension work is complete.
