Hand-Carved Wooden Decorative Plate

Polish wooden plates are made from Linden wood in the mountain region of southern Poland called Podhale. The plates are cut and shaped on a lathe by hand. The floral designs are burned into the wood then painted after staining and varnishing. All the flowers are surrounded by inlaid brass as well as two exterior rings. They are delightful works of folk art to be cherished for generations. Plates are made by hand so no two are alike. Tones and designs vary slightly. Comes from smoke and pets free environment.
