Ornate Vintage Chinese Cast-bronze Wine Pot with Relief Carvings

Ornate vintage Chinese cast-bronze wine pot (often styled like a teapot) measuring approximately 5 inches in total height. The entire vessel is a celebration of longevity (Shou 壽 ) and good fortune, which is highly traditional for Chinese decorative arts. The body features traditional motifs including a tortoise, pine trees, and an immortal or scholar figure. It has a lid with a peach shaped finial. Chinese characters (千載之壽 a lifespan of a thousand years) and (兒戲圖 children at play) are engraved on the side of the vessel. Mid 1900’s. Recessed seal mark stamped on bottom (宣德年製).
