Large 1970s Hand-Hooked Textile Wall Art / Tapestry — 50” × 70”

Hand-hooked by the original owner’s family in the 1970s, this enormous one-of-a-kind textile is essentially a psychedelic garden for your wall: saturated red, hot pink, burgundy, blush, peach and flashes of bright yellow, all worked into a wonderfully unruly abstract floral composition. The thick hooked pile gives it incredible depth and texture—more like a soft sculpture than a conventional tapestry. The previous owner always displayed it as a wall hanging, which is how I’m now recommending it be used. It does shed when walked on, but displayed on the wall, that becomes a non-issue—and frankly, this is where it belongs.
