Wonderful collection of FOUR old-fashioned metalworking soldering irons, also known as soldering coppers or tinsmith's irons. Beautiful examples of traditional tradesmen's tools, with substantial weight, solid metal construction and wonderfully aged surfaces. Each has its own distinctive head shape, including broad angled, pointed and unusual shaped tips, reflecting the different jobs these tools were designed to perform. • Four vintage metalworking tools • Three with old wooden handles • One smaller example without handle • Substantial, heavy metal heads • Different head sizes and profiles • Approximately 12–16 inches long • Traditional pre-electric soldering iron design • Lovely aged patina, oxidation and surface rust • Exact age unknown, possibly early to mid-20th century There's something almost sculptural about these old tools.
