Large 800 Silver Hanukkah Menorah | Convertible Candlestick

An elegant European Hanukkah menorah in 800 silver, distinguished by its generous proportions, sweeping graduated arms and sculptural silhouette. Standing 44.5 cm tall, it makes an impressive centrepiece for a Judaica collection or a thoughtfully arranged interior. Eight curved arms extend from the central column, each supporting a vase-shaped candle socket above a circular drip pan. The ninth light—the shamash—is positioned forward of the principal row, adding depth to the balanced composition. A slender, tapering stem rises from a broad domed foot, finished with concentric detailing around its edge. The design combines visual presence with practical versatility. The shamash lifts out independently for lighting the remaining candles, while the entire upper assembly can be removed to reveal a single candlestick beneath. These removable elements are particularly appealing features of the piece’s construction. Its restrained ornament allows the form and silver surface to take prominence. Varied patina and visible traces of use contribute to its aged character, with warm and cool tones across the stem, candle cups and foot.
