Russell Spanner "Catalina" Mid-Century Modern Dining Set, Table + 4 Chairs, circa 1952, Black Lacquer Rare Canadian mid-century design! This Catalina dining set was designed by Russell Spanner of Toronto, circa 1952. It includes the extension table and 4 sculptural chairs with the signature splayed legs and curved backs. Spanner's work is highly collectible, and pieces this complete are hard to find. The table and chairs have been sanded, sprayed with black lacquer, and sealed with Goudey's Pro Poly (4 coats) for a smooth, durable finish. The chairs have their original vintage vinyl seat covers, which are in excellent condition. The whole set is in excellent shape and ready to use.
