#3 Vintage landscape oil painting by the renowned Canadian artist W. (Walter) Pranke. Signed by the artist to the bottom right. W. Pranke was born in Czechoslovakia Sudetenland. He was the son of an Art professor. He studied at the Dresden Art Academy, with Professor Scott in Utah and in Hanover Düsseldorf, Germany. He emigrated to the United States in 1945 and then to Montreal Canada in 1955. He opened a studio in Montreal upon arrival and eventually settled in Ottawa, Ontario in 1981. His works can be found in private collections and art galleries. This piece features a beautiful fall scene with leaves changing colours, a small stream and mountains in the background. Good condition. No issues. Any wear commensurates with the age. Art is approximately 9.5” wide and 7.5” long. Frame is approximately 13” wide and 11” long.
