Japanese 3 pc Stacking Tansu (Chest of Drawers)
$400
I have two unique sets. Made of kiri wood (paulownia). Known for being exceptionally lightweight, moisture-controlling, and resistant to warping, it is prized for safely storing delicate clothing like kimonos, heirlooms, and jewelry. Each stacking piece is light enough to place on your own. Handles at the end also secure each piece. Each sits on a base. These are from 1950-1970. They could use some cleaning up but in good condition given the age. Decorative metal hardware. Measures 35.5”x16.25”x62”. Each for $400 or $750 for the pair. Located between Banwell and Lesperance near Intersection Rd in Tecumseh.
