Most surfaces are glossy, while a few recessed parts have been left less polished for textural contrast and to accentuate the organic feel of the piece. About the designer: Peter Cullman is an award-winning, world-class goldsmith and designer who was born in Berlin, where he apprenticed and studied. He has worked in Los Angeles, Montreal (where he was head designer for a major jeweler), Johannesburg (where he had his own studio) and Toronto (where he had own studio and store in the posh Yorkville district from 1979-2003). He has participated in international jewelry exhibitions and won numerous awards including overall first prizes. This is a vintage piece that was made in the late 1980s. It was purchased directly from the designer in his studio in 1989. It is stamped CULLMAN on the back and 18K on the ring loop.
