Antique Greek / Balkan Pewter Pilgrim Flask (Holy Water Canteen)

Antique pewter pilgrim flask/canteen dated 1895. A piece of European religious folk art, historically used to carry holy water from churches or shrines in Greece and the Balkan region. Includes the original, matching screw-on pewter cap featuring a traditional hand-stamped six-pointed rosette/solar folk design. One side features hand-chased laurel leaves around a central medallion (evil eye?). The reverse features a hand-engraved winged angel/cherub head below the same medallion, the date "1895", and traditional stylized Greek lettering along the rim. Approx 5” tall and 4” wide. In generally good vintage condition with just some minor imperfections in the form of dents and it’s slightly tilted but stable. 🏃‍♂️Pick up in the Ossington and Davenport area.
