Vintage Vallauris French Art Pottery Basket Mid Century

Vintage Vallauris French art pottery basket dish featuring a beautifully sculpted twisted handle and rich flowing drip glaze in warm brown, cream and mauve tones. Likely dating from the 1950s–1970s. Handcrafted in Vallauris, France, a region renowned for its artistic pottery during the Mid-Century Modern era. The basket form and organic glazing make this a charming decorative accent, candy dish, trinket holder, or display piece. Marked Vallauris on the underside. Measures approximately 6 inches long and 5 inches tall. Good vintage condition. There is a very small manufacturing imperfection/glaze skip on the rim, likely occurring during the firing process, as shown in photos. It can easily be turned toward the back when displayed.
