Real Wood Rustic Chic 3-drawer dresser (refinished ikea Rast))

Small low profile dresser ideal to use for storage in small spaces, a bedside table/nightstand with storage, children’s dresser, or any small storage needs. I’ve modified the dresser to be more durable and adapt to modern style while embracing a cozy aesthetic. This is a newly refinished, tastefully distressed 3 drawer dresser made of real wood (a modified IKEA Rast). I hardened the wood using dilute dewaxed shellac then applied a water-base walnut stain that accentuates its natural grain and flaws. I repositioned the toe kick up and toward the back, allowing for storage space underneath the bottom drawer and easier access for cleaning without compromising the structural integrity. To finish, I applied multiple coats of dewaxed shellac - durable, non toxic and low-voc.
