Mona Ohoveluk, also known as Mona Kuneyuna (1935-1992) was born at Rhymer Point, West Coast of Victoria Island, Northwest Territories. Community of Ulukhaktuk (Holman) NT.
Best known for her classic stonecuts, stencils and unique relief prints on materials like burlap depicting traditional Inuit lifestyle, wildlife and legends. Her works are held in private/public collections, thw McMichael Art Collection, the Winnipeg Art Gallery and the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre.
Good condition. No issues. Any wear commensurates with the age.
Art is approximately 23.5” wide and 17.5” long.
