Please read first — two things missing: • No remote. The projector has a full control keypad on the top, so you can power on, switch inputs and get into all the menus without one. A replacement Optoma remote runs about $30–50 online if you want one, and cheap universal remotes work too. • No lamp compartment cover. The projector runs fine without it, but the lamp bay is exposed underneath, so more dust will get in over time. Replacement covers turn up on eBay and projector parts sites. Priced accordingly. Everything else is in great shape and I’m being upfront so there are no surprises at pickup. Only 403 hours on the lamp. Rated for 4,000 hours at full brightness (up to 15,000 in Dynamic Black), so roughly 10% used — plenty of life left. I’ll show you the hour counter in the Info menu when you come see it. Why this model: The UHD38 is the brighter of Optoma’s UHD35/UHD38 pair at 4,000 ANSI lumens, so it holds up in rooms with some ambient light — no need for a fully blacked-out room. It’s also genuinely fast for gaming: 4.2ms input lag at 1080p/240Hz, 16.7ms at 4K/60.
