Overview & History Release Era: Released around 2000 as part of PING's custom WRX department, representing early experimentation with multi-material putter construction. Material Innovation: The putter pairs a traditional 17-4 stainless steel head with a lightweight, blue-anodized titanium neck. By using titanium for the hosel, PING removed discretionary weight from the neck and redistributed it to the heel and toe perimeters to increase resistance to twisting (MOI) on off-center hits. The "Ti" Series Breakdown: PING offered four distinct hosel options in the Anser Ti line (Ti1 through Ti4) to match different stroke types: Ti1: Short neck (strong stroke arc) Ti2: Elongated Pal 2 hosel (moderate stroke arc) Ti3: Standard Anser plumber's neck (slight stroke arc) Ti4 (Shown): Extended long-neck design featuring four drilled ports, creating a face-balanced profile ideal for a straight-back, straight-through stroke.
