They were used as a wardrobe in a film set, so the wardrobe workers scuffed them up. As a result, they look a lot worse than they are! There's very little actual signs of wear, and for a pair of boots that you may be buying for life, these will be an exceptional value. For those that aren't aware of the film industry, they often will paint clothing and shoes with big wax crayon like things. So any discolouration is likely wax.
