Antique Chinese Famille Rose Cylindrical Porcelain Teapot - Bird & Butterfly Motif. This is a beautiful antique Chinese Famille Rose (Fencai) cylindrical export porcelain teapot. This stunning piece features a traditional "drum" or "tea caddy" shape, dating from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic period (circa 1890–1930). The body is exquisitely hand-painted with vibrant, thick enamel glazes depicting a classic narrative of long-tailed courting birds, polychrome butterflies, and blooming pink peonies. The top rim and lid are accented with traditional diaper-pattern borders and scrolling floral bands. It retains its original double iron wire swing handles wrapped in their traditional protective cord.
