RARE WWII RCAF Aircraft Instrument Vacuum Test Chamber

Looking for a serious cash offer on an incredibly rare, heavy-duty piece of Canadian military aviation history. This is an original World War II / early post-war Mechron Engineering Type E1 Vacuum Chamber, built strictly to Royal Canadian Air Force (R.C.A.F.) military specifications (Spec 6C/754). THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND ACTIVELY FOR SALE ON THE PLANET. You will NOT find another active listing online. The vast majority of these industrial military assets were scrapped or recycled for their heavy metal decades ago this is a true survivor of nearly 90 years of aviation history. Wartime hangar technicians used this heavy ground-support equipment to place cockpit instruments (like altimeters and gauges from iconic planes like the Avro Lancaster, Hawker Hurricane, or BCATP trainers) inside the sealed chamber to safely simulate high-altitude, low-pressure environments for calibration. - Ultra-Rare Serial No. 4: Stamped directly on the original brass and black identification nameplate. This was one of the very first single-digit units ever manufactured for the military contract. - Pristine Glass Porthole: The massive, thick front viewing window is completely clear and free of cracks. - Complete Assembly: Includes the heavy cast chamber body sitting in its original industrial pivoting desktop cradle stand. - Condition & Upgrades: The nameplate features a beautiful, untouched original patina. The lower plumbing tree has been upgraded with vintage high-end brass and anodized valves (including a premium Manatrol Colorflow valve), meaning it was carefully adapted for precise workshop or laboratory use later in its life. - Dimensions & Weight: Stands roughly 25–26 inches tall. Note: This unit is extremely heavy cast metal (approx. 70–80 lbs). It is incredibly solid and built like a absolute battleship. Perfect as a high-end centerpiece for a military/aviation collector, a unique functional piece for an artisan/resin hobbyist, a rare prop for a local film production house, or an incredible "industrial steampunk" display piece. Terms: Local pick-up in Chilliwack. Please bring a vehicle with enough trunk space and a strong pair of hands to help load it!
