Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Miniature Cabinet Vase – Republic Period (c. 1912–1949)
Up for auction is an authentic, beautifully preserved vintage Chinese cloisonné enamel miniature cabinet vase, dating from the early-to-mid 20th century Republic Period.
This miniature piece is crafted with meticulous hand-applied wirework over a heavy, solid brass body. The exterior showcases a stunning, continuous 360-degree seasonal landscape featuring vibrant pink and white plum blossoms, a blooming lotus flower, bamboo stalks, and a bold red chrysanthemum set against a brilliant, striking emerald-green background. The neck and foot are framed by elegant, repeating cloud and wave borders in turquoise and cobalt blue enamels.
The underside features a crisp, authentic incised "CHINA" block stamp directly in the brass base plate, a definitive hallmark of early-20th-century Chinese export wares under the McKinley Tariff Act guidelines.

Condition Report
Excellent Vintage Condition: No cracks, chips, fractures, or missing enamel segments across the entire decorative surface.
Authentic Hand-Crafted Texturing: Light, microscopic surface pitting is present on the enamel, a natural byproduct of original kiln-firing and a strong indicator of hand-made production (not machine-reproduced).
Original Patina: The raw brass top rim, interior neck, and base plate display a beautiful, even, unpolished golden patina.
UV/Blacklight Verified: Testing under 365nm UV light reveals original industrial polishing compound residue heavily embedded in the porous grain of the interior walls and brass base, confirming authentic workshop finishing from the era with no modern enamel repairs
