Carmen Sandiego DOS Game - Deluxe Edition 1992
$6
This is certainly a memorable vintage collectors item, as anyone growing up in the 90s as a fan of the Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? TV show would attest. It can certainly bring back memories, both of the era, the show and game itself, and the computers of the day.
The Broderbund DOS version of Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? Deluxe Edition was released in 1992, featuring an updated interface, more animation, digitized photos, and spoken dialogue compared to earlier versions. This enhanced edition built upon the original 1985 release and its subsequent 1989 update, offering more clues, villains, countries, and music from the Smithsonian/Folkways Recordings to create a richer experience for players. Enhanced features: National Geographic digitized photos. Over 2500 clues. Fabulous new music and sound effects. 20 villains, 45 countries, and 16 maps. Stunning animations. Includes the World Almanac book of facts. Works with Windows or DOS.
See photo for technical specifications (the blue technical requirements section on the side of the box, in the photo). See photos of box for other details and information about the game itself. The condition of the box and items are as seen in the photos. In very good condition, with some wear on the box as to be expected (and some box repair/touching up seems possible if desired).
Included in the box are four floppy disks, two postcards, and three booklets/manuals/flyers and an original invoice that came with it. I cannot load/install these disks myself as I do not have that vintage computer so I cannot verify that the game still works in the right computer but I suspect that it does given the great condition everything appears to be in. Please message me if you have any questions!
