Price is firm Got this for my son but we didn’t end up using it due to him being colic and it was just easier to co sleep I’ve never actually unzipped the side that comes down to be connected to the bed Mattress has always been covered with a sheet/ blanket It also comes with a mesh netting that covers the top of the bassinet
