Antique 1920s Carvers Carving Set

A gorgeous pair of 1920s era Carvers Best English Cutlery carving set -- a fork and knife, made of hand wrought Firth Stainless in Sheffield England. The handle is lovely cream-coloured Ivorine, a hard plastic which imitates Ivory. Quite square in shape. Firth Stainless became one of the most common trade names on stainless cutlery in the early 20th century, sometimes with a cutlery manufacturer’s name, sometimes not. Firth began identifying their wares in December 1914. In very good vintage condition. This set comes with the original box which is quite worn
