Farscape tv series

A space opera series which began airing in the US in March 1999, Farscape was conceived by Rockne S O'Bannon and produced by The Jim Henson Company in association with Channel 9 Australia and Hallmark Entertainment. The premise is simple: astronaut John Crichton (Ben Browder) is hurled through a wormhole to a distant part of the galaxy, where he joins a group of escaped prisoners aboard a living spaceship called Moya. Much of the show's appeal comes from its willingness to take chances, and from the strength of its ensemble cast.
