Vintage Japanese Hand-Carved Wooden Wall Plate

Beautiful vintage Japanese hand-carved wall plate created by master craftsman Kaneko Ryohei (金子良平) from Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture. The plate features a finely detailed landscape with Mt. Fuji, traditional rural house, watermill, trees and mountains. This is an authentic artisan-made piece, not factory production — confirmed by: ✔ Original Japanese shop label on the back ✔ Carved artist mark 平 (hei) — part of the master’s name 良平 ✔ Traditional Japanese carving style and finishing Material: solid Japanese hardwood, likely keyaki (zelkova) or hinoki cedar, finished with natural lacquer. Estimated age: 1970–1980s. Condition: excellent vintage front surface; some wear and light scuffs on the back, consistent with age.
