Antique Carlton Ware Rouge Royale Tri-Lobed Bowl c1930s
$895
Authentic 1930s Carlton Ware Rouge Royale tri-lobed bowl, produced in Stoke-on-Trent, England during the height of the Art Deco period.
This piece features the highly desirable Rouge Royale glaze, prized for its deep oxblood red tones with subtle plum and black shading, finished with a hand-applied gilt rim. The sculptural three-section form is far less common than standard Carlton Ware bowls and was produced in limited numbers due to the difficulty of firing this glaze evenly.
The base bears the original Carlton Ware “Made in England” script mark with factory pattern numbers, confirming pre-WWII production. Glaze crazing is present, consistent with age and entirely typical for Rouge Royale pieces of this era. No cracks, repairs, or modern restoration observed.
A strong example of British Art Deco ceramics and a serious collector piece, especially desirable due to its uncommon shape and intact coloration.
Ideal for collectors of:
• Carlton Ware
• Rouge Royale ceramics
• Art Deco design
• British pre-war pottery
