Antique Rosenthal RC Bavaria Hand-Painted Porcelain Powder Jar

Beautiful, authentic turn-of-the-century porcelain powder jar / trinket box made by Rosenthal & Co. in Bavaria, Germany. This piece features a striking soft blue luster glaze finish, a delicate gold-gilt rim accent, and a beautifully detailed hand-painted floral vignette on the lid depicting a basket of violets or forget-me-nots. The bottom features the distinct green underglaze "R.C." crown and crossed-scepters backstamp, accurately dating this piece between 1891 and 1906. It also bears an original pink hand-painted artist/decorator mark next to the stamp. Perfect addition to a vintage vanity display, a Victorian dresser set, or a German fine porcelain collection. Condition: Light, age-appropriate wear to the bottom rim and minimal wear to the gold gilt accents as expected with a piece of this age. Sold as is, used but good condition.
