Set of 12 Decorative Plates - Botanical Fern & Insect Design

Beautiful set of 12 decorative plates, each featuring a unique botanical illustration of ferns and delicate insects. The scalloped edges and gold trim add an elegant touch. These plates are perfect for adding a touch of nature-inspired charm to your home decor or for special occasions. We believe the plates and cake stands (see my other listing) date back to the late 19th century, circa 1870 to 1900 when there was a lot of interest in botanical designs and insects. Cake stands and plates most likely shipped from the US to either Great Britain or mainland Europe where they were hand painted. Most of the plates have slight chips on the underside - see photos
