Tickets $30, or $25 each for groups of 5+. Ask anyone who grew up with Navratri in Gujarat and they'll tell you the same thing: that feeling doesn't survive the move. Something gets lost in translation. This night starts with aarti instead of a countdown. The music comes from a live mandli seated inside the circle, dholak, dhol, and voices filling the room, and you dance because the rhythm pulls you in, not because someone on a stage tells you to. Bhajan-Mandli Garba Mahotsav is presented by Kalika Kreations, a new venture rooted in cultural heritage, and it exists for one reason: to bring that feeling back to Calgary. The whole evening is built around devotion. From the moment you walk in, the decor, the lighting, and the atmosphere are put together to recreate the warmth of the traditional Navratri nights many of us grew up with and have been missing ever since. Capacity is deliberately kept small. Unlike the big-scale Navratri events, we're keeping numbers down so the circle stays intimate and the night feels like home rather than a crowd. Bring your family, bring your friends, and celebrate Navratri the way it was meant to be felt. The Musicians: At most Navratri events, the singer becomes the focus while the musicians remain in the background. Here, they are the night. Live bhajan-mandli prachin music you probably grew up hearing in the small villages/societies during Navratri. Featuring local Gujarati artists who have performed on major stages across Canada, brought together by Kalika Kreations exclusively for this event.
