Early 1900s Solid Maple Antique Buffet / Sideboard with Mirror

Beautiful early-1900s solid maple buffet / sideboard, refinished in a rich chocolate brown for a warm, moody, collected look while keeping its original antique character. Approx. 48” wide × 39.5” tall × 21” deep. This is a substantial, solid-wood piece with gorgeous period details including: • Dovetailed drawer construction • Large original-style mirrored back • Curved drawer fronts • Side cupboards with glass panes for storage • Porcelain knobs and brass-tone hardware • Decorative keyholes • Shaped legs and original-style casters • Solid maple construction. The deep chocolate-brown finish works beautifully with vintage, Victorian, eclectic, English-country, cottage, traditional and moody interiors. It would make an amazing dining-room buffet, sideboard, home bar, coffee bar, entryway console, statement storage cabinet or oversized vanity. Storage/function: the top centre drawer and large lower drawer are functional. The centre and lower-middle curved drawer fronts are decorative. The working antique drawers do not glide as smoothly as modern furniture. This was one of my earlier furniture refinishing projects, so the hand-painted finish has some imperfections and the piece shows age consistent with an antique.
