Wooden Spoon - Just The Tip Requires Repair

Was a lovely, perfect, new simple wooden spoon, great for cooking or serving, until I just dropped it while washing it for the first time (see third pic). The part still goes in (see 1st & 2nd pics) but I'm not handy that way. It's made from wood and has a smooth finish. This spoon is great for stirring pots or serving dishes.
