It’s just finished its third summer season and is in excellent working condition. This air conditioner performs exceptionally well. I live in an older, energy-inefficient building, and even here it keeps my space cool and comfortable. On Economy Mode, it automatically shuts off once your desired temperature is reached — saving energy while keeping you comfortable. Important Note: Because my window sits directly under a tree, debris like leaves tend to get pulled into the top vents. As a result, at the end of each season I’ve needed to take it apart for a full internal cleaning. This is a slow, detailed process — it took me about six hours to restore it to “like new” condition this year. If your window area is clear of trees or overhanging debris, you won’t have this issue. But if you live under a tree or something similar, please consider this carefully. It’s also quite heavy — manageable for one strong person (I’ve done it myself), but ideally a two-person job to install or remove safely.
