Antique Austin Prod Inc. Statue of a girl in shoes Vintage 1972

Here's a vintage statue marked Austin Prod Inc. -72 at the back. It's a unique piece with a bronze-finish, showing a girl in a dress wearing her mother’s shoes. The statue has a textured surface and stands on a square base. Vintage from the 1970s Finished in Austin Productions antique dark bronze. - Austin Sculptures are made of Durastone. The casting procedure involves placing steel armatures or supports into the sculpture mold and then filling with a slurry of Durastone, a formulation of crushed stone. After drying the sculpture is removed from the mold and cured and then finished with one of seventy different Austin finishes, waxed and buffed. Austin Productions ceased all production in 2009. This piece particularly in the antique bronze finish is seems to be rare as no others could be identified on the secondary market. A few minor signs of age such as minor tiny chips in bronze finish.
