Antique/primitive wood freight/railway desk with a sloping clerk’s writing desk top and two shelves. These desks were often called “stationmaster’s or clerk’s standing desk). They were used in train depots, freight offices, and post offices for writing tickets, logging manifests, or sorting documents while standing or using a high chair.
