Framed Golf Ball and Club Display C. 1850

What it says on the plaque It appears to read: “Real Golf Club & Ball from C. 1850” So the display is meant to represent early golf equipment from around 1850. What the items look like Golf Ball Cross-hatched style Meant to resemble a gutta-percha (“gutty”) golf ball Used roughly 1848–1890 Golf Club Head Early hand-forged iron style Looks like a mashie / niblick style head However, the way they are mounted strongly suggests this is a decorative display made later, not an original 1850 artifact. These shadow boxes were very common in: 1970s–1980s golf gift shops clubhouses sports memorabilia stores They used: real fragments or reproduction parts. Estimated value Because of the small size (4¾") and typical tourist-style shadow box: In very good condition all questions are welcome, cash only please.
