Edwardian Telephone Table / Gossip Bench - Yellow Console

$340 (firm) One-of-a-kind hand-finished console. This started as an English Edwardian twin-pedestal dressing table from around 1900–1915. I took out the old tri-fold mirror and reworked it into an English-style telephone table / gossip bench — two drawer pedestals with an open seat in the middle. The finish is all hand-done: a custom English yellow layered six to seven times with a salt-texture technique for that weathered, old-plaster look, with blue-green tones breaking through. The wood tops were conditioned separately in three tones to look aged and warm. I swapped the original brass for antique-style cast pulls that match the raised detail on the sides, and kept the original brass castors on the tapered legs. Both drawers work smoothly. Measures 44ʺW × 13ʺD × 34.5ʺH. Center seat sits about 24ʺ off the floor. Solid piece, approx. 100 lb. Works as an entry console, hallway table, accent piece, or small phone/writing nook.
