Theora Connect GPS Medical Smart Watch
$120
This is a Theora Connect GPS-Enabled medical smart watch. It's designed and intended for those who should not leave home, or a medical facility without supervision, such as those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or brain injuries, without having to follow them around. It has GPS to track the wearer, and fall-detection for in case the person trips or was to lose consciousness. It also features Quik-Connect voice pickup for contacts, and in case the person wearing the watch does not answer, the watch itself can automatically contact SOS contacts in case of emergency. If the wearer is able to use it during an emergency, there is a side red button labeled SOS for them to contact immediate help. For general health and wellbeing, there is also a step counter, and a weather app built-in. It has a nice 1 1/4" display with large text available for easy reading in old age, and with associated vision loss/problems. It will also announce when it is fully charged, again so those with poor vision are aware of the fact it's ready to wear. There is a subscription service required for use, a monthly fee of $49.95 to use the services it provides. You can also download the Theora Link Pro app, in order to actively monitor and track your loved one's whereabouts should they wander and go missing. This allows the caregiver to input their information, verify the account, and link the watch to their phone, allowing easy tracing of their loved one. The watch comes with a phone number, which is labeled on the front of the guide booklet. Another great feature is the Safe Zone, which allows the primary caregiver to set up a certain radius area in which their loved one is allowed to travel, and if the loved one leaves the area, an immediate push notification is sent to the caregiver's mobile phone, alerting them. It comes with a charging cable (USB Micro-B), and a magnetic charging stand for easy charging. We got it for a loved one, who has recovered and no longer needs it. It was only used 4 or 5 times during outings, so it is in excellent condition. It was $425 brand new. Note: the date and time on the last picture is obviously out of sync. This is because the watch requires the subscription service to access cell towers and GPS in order to update the time. It cannot be changed in the watch.
