Handmade Toy Play and Storage Wall Shelf

The Adventure Wall! I built this for my kids when we wanted shelves to store their toy cars/figurines/dinosaurs etc. I thought why not make it a play area as well as storage. Custom-built wooden wall shelf features a multi-level diorama design with painted mountain landscapes, a road with lane markings, and artificial greenery. The unit is constructed from pine wood. It has multiple tiers for displaying and playing with toys. Let their imagination run wild. Starting from the bottom, we have an underground area with a “jail” and real slate rocks and small stones glued to the surface. Then next level up is a forested section, with various secured greenery purchased at Michael’s, more stones and a hole that drops down to the lower underground section. Action figures and animals can hide in the forest, so to speak. Next up is the road section, with lane markers, a ramp, and it is open on the right side so cars can slide off the edge into a bucket or basket on the floor. My kids loved that part. There is a half shelf on the right side in front of of the mountains for more storage. Then we have a shelf over the sky area, my kids placed their airplanes there. The clouds project out with hidden platforms behind them, so toys can be placed in the clouds too. Then to the upper right we have a space station area, with reflective walls and an open right side so ships can blast off. Perfect for Star Wars fans. Then the upper black shelf is outer space, for more space toys or whatever. More objects can be placed on the unit’s top edge too. Sadly both my kids have outgrown this and it is looking for a good home. Hours was spent making it, and even more hours was spent playing with it. The best part is, when the kids are finished playing, the toys are already off the floor! Keeps things tidy. Dimensions are 48”x48”. Easy to install, just a few screws into studs. Note that the first image and the last are AI generated to help visualize its scale. All other images are taken in our home. Asking $300. Pickup near Queen St East / Logan Ave.
