Vintage Paragon Fine Bone China Teacup & Saucer

A beautiful vintage Paragon teacup and saucer set in soft mint green with ornate gold scrollwork. The wide, scalloped-rim cup has a cream interior center painted with a colourful bouquet of roses, pansies and blue flowers. The saucer carries the matching bouquet in its center, so the two make a lovely pair. The handle, foot and rims are finished in rich gilt. The backstamp reads "Paragon, By Appointment to H.M. The Queen & H.M. Queen Mary, Fine Bone China, England." This mark was used between 1939 and 1949, so this set is roughly 75 to 85 years old. Paragon was one of England's most collectible bone china makers, and pieces with the double royal warrant are especially sought after. Lovely for afternoon tea, as a gift for a tea lover, or as a display piece in a china cabinet or on a shelf. Paragon Fine Bone China, made in England. Includes 1 teacup and 1 matching saucer. Mint green with gold filigree, scalloped edges and a floral bouquet center. Double royal warrant backstamp (Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary). Gold trim on rims, handle and foot. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The gold is bright and the colours are vivid. There are a few small marks on the underside of the saucer, and some light wear is normal for its age. Photos show close-ups of the front, back and backstamps, so please look through them. Pick up: Saint Albert, AB
