Dog Agility Tunnel

Dog agility tunnel, with carrying case and the original pegs. Even if you don't compete with your dog in agility, this can be a fun addition for your pups! I had originally bought it with a plan to build my nervous one's confidence gradually, but she had to have knee surgeries and I now need to downsize. It was opened to be inspected indoors, and never used. - 24" in diameter x 18 feet long - Made with polyester. Some tips if you haven't had one for your dog(s), especially if yours are pessimistic or nervous: - Bring it in the house unopened and let them inspect it, reward. Repeat for a few sessions or days. Reward them any time they go to inspect it or walk past it, if you'd like. - Open it slowly and again let them inspect and explore it, reward. Put it away, and then repeat for a few sessions or days. - Open it, set it up, and try tossing treats near it. If your pup approaches it freely to retrieve the treats, you are ready for the next step! Ocassionally toss treats away from the tunnel as well, to give your dog a break and the choice to walk away. You can shorten the length of the tunnel for the early days of training! Remmeber to make it easy and fun for your pup! - Try tossing treats to the opening. If your pup approaches it freely, gradually start tossing treats into the tunnel. A little bit further in each time you feel your pup is ready. Also reward when the pup turns around and comes out of the tunnel. - Eventually toss the treat all the way through the tunnel so they have to go through and come out of the other end. Gradually lengthen the tunnel to its full length, as your pup gets accustomed to it. - You can also do it with another person, each person posted at the either opening of the tunnel and encourage the pup to go through back and forth. - You can attach a verbal and/or gesture cue to this if you would like.
