Cameo glass is a luxury form of glass art made by layering different colors of glass. The top layer is partly cut away to create a design that stands out from the background of contrasting color. The first cameo glass was made by ancient Romans.
Frame has a small faded area (see photo), but overall it’s in very good condition. There is a slight hairline fracture on part of the glass, but it doesn’t show very much. Beautiful blend of colors.
