Beautiful vintage Japanese Satsuma-style decorative plate featuring intricately hand-painted figures surrounded by elaborate raised enamel and gilt decoration. The central scene depicts traditional Wise Men / Immortals / Arhats, with halos and expressive details, surrounded by rich orange, cobalt blue, green, and gold accents. The plate is finished with a finely decorated gilded scalloped rim. The raised moriage enamel work gives the surface a wonderfully textured, dimensional appearance, while the fine crackle glaze adds to its traditional Satsuma character. A lovely display piece for collectors of Japanese ceramics, Satsuma ware, Asian art, or vintage decorative plates.
